<Back to Index] 10/28/2022 - A good start [11/05/2022>

A place driven through many times and the thought of I should park the car and capture this being ignored as I drove on was final acted upon. The effort was worth it and opened up the door to slowly begin getting comfortable exploring a place rarely seen. What else is out there to discover as I take different routes home?

A bush and rock next to Red Lobster on Parkway & University.

Intersection of Parkway & University at 3:30am.

<10/28/2022] 11/05/2022 - Santa Fe Square [11/09/2022>

The signage stands out when going down 42nd and it is this that caught my eye. The empty parking lot and the darkness also was also something I wanted to capture.

I seem to be drawn to these stairs because I have photographed around them in the day light, at night behind the tree they provided a nice backdrop.

McDonalds before the crowds.

Seen in a different light I found this scene.

Predicting what scenes I can capture in the dark is hit and miss, I compose with what I find. The gifts in front of WOW Warehouse definitely worked out.

I drove by this gas station lit up at night and had to come back to capture this.

<11/22/2022] 11/23/2022 - Parkway Plaza [11/24/2022>

I have been seeing the water tower from many angles and this composition will be one of many to see it from different point of views.

<11/23/2022] 11/24/2022 - One foggy morning [11/29/2022

see also A photographer's view of Odessa, TX for 4 more image.

Looking along I-20 where Parkway meets it.

Looking under the bridge where Parkway and I-20 meet.

Along 42nd is the Target parking lot, a point of interest I was going for anyway. In the daylight the line of trees and lights seemed promising. The fog really transformed the scene.

In the same overall parking lot as Target across the street I saw a pattern of light more than the store front. It kind of resembles what I saw so an interesting addition.

<11/24/2022] 11/29/2022 - Here and there [12/02/2022>

Some landmarks stand out and can been some from some distance, this water tower around University & Parkway even has a presence at night. Like any compostion supporting elements are needed to make a image and I found the angle I needed.

This wasn't the image I had envisioned taking but when one predicts a possible composition in the daylight it happen. Once in the area though look around to see what can be captured. On Grant & 2nd is the historic Boy Scouts building and from the back became my shot.
