<11/27/2022] 11/28/2022 - La Paz Park [11/30/2022>

Listed when searched for, on the maps as looking accessable, but behind a security gate in an area I couldn't even begin to get to was my target; however, it did put me in the area of 191 & Billy Hex as I sought out a place to stop and take pictures instead. Hadn't been there yet so worked out. As with any random stop the results are an odd mix and being shared as is. The moral of the story maps are only guides and we photographers will find something to photograph.

The first shot is often not great but opens the creative output at least.

After walking around I found the now closed Frisky Brewing Company to capture.

A full western scene is a pleasant surprise to find, courtesy of America Momentun Bank.

Equivalent to the first opening shot is the last shot taken just because you can. This abstract image is that final image before moving on with the day.

<11/30/2022] 12/01/2022 - Living Word Church [12/05/2022>

In many ways this place found me because I was heading down Kermit Hwy to see how it connected to the highways, easier for me to get a better idea of where to go in the daylight. At Santa Rosa & Kermit Hwy I saw a cross on my left and found a parking spot. I know it is an active church but the odd mix of older and newer was unexpected.

It seemed connected but the older nature of it was interesting, plus on the other side there was a foundation for a house no longer there.

<12/05/2022] 12/07/2022 - Area of the post office [12/08/2022>

3rd & Texas - This bus stop made a great image in the daylight shot from the little bit of landscaping at the post office.

Walking around the post office I saw this bit of green in a odd spot.

Along 1st is the Heap Equipment Co, with the doors open it made an interesting image.

Along 1st is also The National Supply Co.

Walking further down 1st I spotted an older house, I found the Penny residence as indicated by the historical marker.

Back at The National Supply Co as I walked back to the car I found this hawk.

This shopping center has grown into a very packed area but it wasn't the stores I went to photograph, mixed in amongst the cars are islands of landscaping that I worked with.

Part of parking anywhere to go explore is ranging further than the target. Life Unlimited Apostolic Center caught my eye and there was a shot to take.

Making the circle around the store fronts I found a gap between building and the this simple scene.

The only shot of the center as reflected from the glass and mixed in with the empty store itself.

Running along 22nd, taken at 22nd & Catalina, I found these powerlines set over the drainage system.

<12/12/2022] 12/13/2022 - Starbright Village [12/16/2022>

Starbright Village at McKiney Park, what I generically call Commanche Trail Park, is meant to be enjoyed at night but that is only one aspect of what can be photographed. The structures give some hint of its full glory but that is exactly what I like to capture as the more direct light brings the bulb to life in a new way. I only made my way through part of that driving route so I may be back to see what I find for the rest of it.
