<02/23/2023] 02/24/2023 - Hwy 385 & VFW Ln [02/25/2023>
The signs said no unauthorized parking as I sought out a place to park to photograph one building; however, another sign said VFW Mini-Mall and it was on this indoor and outdoor area I had parked. Established long ago and still operating it was unknown to me but the place was a wonderful surprise. The time has produced character amongst the buildings placed on the lot and the people past and current added their own bit of uniqueness as well. One of the aspects of a daily photo challenge (maybe almost a discipline?) is I try not to photograph the full potential of a place to be able to get another day out it.

The weather was right for a picture I've had in mind for a while but the target was Comanche Trail Park as a default. The plans changed as I walked and I went down Crane Ave and out of the park instead, it wasn't a bad decision as I did find something to photogaph.

When I take that one required photo for the day the time frame doesn't matter, at 1:30am the fog was ideal and a path was picked to explore. The effort was rewarded and as an added bonus I got a day trip to the Monahans Sandhills State Park where I got to experience gusting winds in the afternoon.

I explored around an apartment complex and found a few scenes to photograph.
Maybe it can be seen but the spider webs across the structure was my target.
The second old phone box I have come across so far.

It is 4am and foggy so with camera on hand I drove from work to downtown Odessa. What I couldn't see is what I was drawn to and the bank building in the fog made an ideally subject.
