<05/29/2023] 06/01/2023 - Area of 35th & McKnight [06/05/2023>Sometimes it isn't about being in the mood to take pictures but putting yourself in the right place and having the camera anyway. A somewhat random path to What-A-Burger eventually put me in the right place to take these pictures as I walked over there. <06/05/2023] 06/06/2023 - In memorial to nature [06/07/2023>I did a 3am session for a change and it was the landscaped areas lit up by artificial light I captured but I was also seeing a deeper meaning for these equally artificially arranged bit of nature with in the city. The nature that once was is covered over by the city but we somehow build and try to restore bits of nature in memory of it to beautify the city. The city seems to even try to reclaim this little bit of effort with the trash we provide. Glad to have this to photograph but the irony of where and why I found it got me thinking. HEB at 2501 W University Blvd. City Bank near County Rd West & University. [Back to Top] [Back to Current Projects] [Back to Galleries] [Back to Main Page] |
<06/06/2023] 06/07/2023 - Adventures along 42nd [06/08/2023>What caught my eye was the Looney Tune characters on a wall as I drove by and that was my primary target. Looks minimal and photographed just fine but it was in post processing that those characters came alive, these types of images are how I learn more about my craft. So between Golder and McCoys where I parked I got a few more shots as well. Old building with some wall art that in post processing comes alive. Same old building with a broader overview. Odessa Laboratory Services. Some of the external landscaping. Almost back to McCoys and this vine on the fence caught my eye. <06/07/2023] 06/08/2023 - Halley & Cummings [06/09/2023>A bunch of poles in an enclosed fence and likely related to Odessa College equals a mystery. They caught my eye and I verified the light levels in the dark so today was the day I attempted to capture them in the early morning. Have three images as a result to share. <06/08/2023] 06/09/2023 - Along Mankins [06/11/2023>So today I traversed from 42nd to Kermit Hwy and found a few images for the day. The power line image at the end shows a cross in the distance of Living Word Church, a target I explored on 12-01-2022. Still feel like I'm not duplicating myself yet so more to explore of Odessa. <06/09/2023] 06/11/2023 - Comanche Trail Park [06/12/2023>Mostly just an evening walk in the park with enough cover to defeat mosquitoes, a surprise find will be found among the pictures of a greened up place. The presence of the make shift shelters isn't unusual and this one is well established but the marker and arranged material from the area was new to me. <06/11/2023] 06/12/2023 - Andrews Hwy & 42nd [06/13/2023>Random and hadn't parked there to look around describes the reasons I stopped here. Amazing how walking around gives you a different perspective when doing photography. Images as is. [Back to Top] [Back to Current Projects] [Back to Galleries] [Back to Main Page] |
<06/12/2023] 06/13/2023 - Rectangle Plaza [06/14/2023>A quick 3am session at a plaza I had photographed in the noon day light produced a couple of nice shots. The plaza is located along the I-20 service road and Parkway. A view of Rectangle Plaza. Adjacent to the plaza is Saulsbury Industries headquarters.
