<04/08/2023] 04/15/2023 - Beal Park [04/19/2023>Most of the adventure on this session was getting to the park itself since I'm not familiar with the roads in Midland. I enjoyed exploring the park overall and while I didn't photograph the closed down amphitheater I can see future visits doing so and getting off trail amongst the brush. A carefully framed view of Schlumberger Artificial Lift on the edge of the park. [Back to Top] [Back to Current Projects] [Back to Galleries] [Back to Main Page] |
<04/15/2023] 04/19/2023 - C.J. Kelly Park [04/29/2023>In the area of Heritage Blvd & League Dr is C.J. Kelly Park where I took these images, a nice area to explore I left some unphotographed subjects. Better light and future visits is my goal as I quest for each days quota. <04/19/2023] 04/29/2023 - Area of Sibley Nature Center [05/16/2023>The Spring Festival brought me to the center but I walked around the event without actually being part of it, so it turned into the reason to get out and access overall. <04/29/2023] 05/16/2023 - Museum of the Southwest [05/28/2023>I explored the exhibits inside but really I looked for what caught my eye overall to photograph instead, the grounds also yielded photographs so I had a good session. <05/16/2023] 05/28/2023 - Dennis the Menace Park [06/03/2023>Still relatively early in the focus on Midland so the easy targets are available. The parks theme of Dennis the Menace was interesting and the people enjoying the park nice to see but I only got a few shots within the park proper; however, it is also the area around the park I explored as well. <05/28/2023] 06/03/2023 - Lunch time [06/10/2023>I only have one image here because I was in Midland to attend a camera club meeting but had to eat somewhere after the meeting. I went to olive Garden and was seated in an ideal place with an image at the ready, handheld the smartphone camera and took it. Pictures find you even when you aren't looking for one at the time. My target for the day was actually the Monahans Sandhills State Park but one more image isn't a bad thing either. [Back to Top] [Back to Current Projects] [Back to Galleries] [Back to Main Page] |
<06/03/2023] 06/10/2023 - Lancaster Hike and Bike Trail [06/17/2023>In exploring Midland I'm starting with the major targets, the trail surprised me as it is a sidewalk going under a power line, so using a lost space in an unique way. Almost made it to the Lancaster Park where it terminates. Iglesia Bautista at the start of the trail. Midland water tower along the trail. City of Midland Edgewood Pump Station at Storey & Edgewood. Find "beauty" where you can. [Back to Top] [Back to Current Projects] [Back to Galleries] [Back to Main Page] |
<06/10/2023] 06/17/2023 - I-20 Preserve [06/22/2023>The old trail where the old bridge over the creek still stands is getting lost in the growth, water levels almost gone but plants a plenty in its place, and life everywhere is what I found. We don't photograph memories of what was but what is present so changes happen and the life cycle of a place continues on. Images presented as is.
